Donations

We will not be accepting any donations of any type at this time. We will update this page if that changes.

Donations are accepted only during operating hours. Donations must be screened for acceptability by a Library Assistant, by appointment. Please contact your nearest branch to schedule an appointment. Donations become the property of the Library, and may be added to the collection, sold, or given away. Tax receipts are not issued for donated material.

We are only able to accept materials that meet the following criteria, in accordance with our Materials Selection Policy:

• In pristine condition AND
• Currently popular title or subject

 The following items are accepted: 

• Hardcover fiction
• Hardcover non-fiction
• Recent paperbacks
• Children's Books
• Movies (DVD and Blu-Ray format)
• Audiobooks
• Video Games (Xbox One, Series S/X, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch)
• Materials in languages other than English

*Please, no computer books, text books, magazines, or encyclopedias.

 Due to the time commitment in assessing and processing donated items, please bring no more than (1) one box of donations at a time.

Financial Donations

Everyone has their own reason to give to their public library, whether it is the value in your life since childhood, or as a student, growing family, senior, hobbyist, or job seeker, or simply because you recognize the value of a vibrant library to community well-being.

Georgina Public Library is grateful for financial contributions, great or small. Donations can be made by:
